A workspace is the boundary for Actors, credentials, schedules, usage, audit history, and MCP access. Complete these steps before inviting tools or teammates to use it.
- 1Select the workspace: Use the workspace switcher in the dashboard top bar. The selected workspace is included in all dashboard and API operations.
- 2Connect Apify: Open Apify connection. Add the API key for syncing and actor operations. Add a Console UI token or the supported cookie export only when publishing workflows need it.
- 3Sync and verify: Run the initial sync, then open Actors and confirm the expected portfolio is present. A credential status warning on Overview links back to the affected connection.
- 4Choose your operating path: Open an Actor to review its current context and tools, create a schedule for recurring work, or issue an MCP credential for an AI client.
Credential separation
The Apify API key and publishing credential belong to the workspace and stay on the server. An MCP credential is a separate ActorConsole credential for an AI client. Do not paste an Apify token into your MCP client configuration.
