Fires once per keyword delivered, multiplied by the pages scanned (1×/2×/3×). Each keyword is sampled several times and reduced to a median position, because Amazon reorders its results between identical requests — one lookup is an anecdote, not a ranking. Included at no extra cost: organic and sponsored position for every ASIN you track, an explicit answer when an ASIN does not rank, share of shelf per brand and for your ASIN set, changes since your previous run when you set a watchlist ID, and Amazon search volume. Rows also carry how much that keyword's own results jittered, so you can tell a real move from noise. Never charged: keywords that failed upstream, cache hits, and empty results.
